My cousin Jerry was going on a missions trip to Uganda, the ministers there do not having teaching bibles, so we donated 4 of them from our family and made them in memory of Dad.
Arthur Floyd Garrison passed away at his home surrounded by his family on May 22,2018 at the age of 76.
Arthur is predeceased by his parents and brothers Joe & John.
Art is survived by his loving Wife Darlene (Harrill) of 54 years. They were married on March 27, 1964 in Portage.
Art is lovingly remembered by his sons Ronald (Latisha) of Valparaiso and Scott (Susan) Garrison of Portage; his grandsons Bryan, Zachary and Nathan, his sister Pearl of Hobart as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Arthur was born in Gary Indiana on August 19, 1941. He graduated from River Forrest High School in 1960.
Arthur was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from US Steel with 35 years in 2001. Art was a Mason for 27 years, he was a member of M. L. McClelland 357 lodge in Hobart and a member of the Valley of South Bend Scottish Rite.
Art was an avid Golfer, a home improvement enthusiast, fisherman and most importantly a family man.
